About Us
Wayne Weimann was born in East London before moving to Durban/Pinetown after starting school. He matriculated at Pinetown High School and did his military service in Voortrekkerhoogte. He then returned to Pinetown and over the next 9 years studied for his B Com and then Hons B Com through UNISA. He graduated with his Honours degree in Financial Management in 1989.
He lived in Pinetown until 1997 when he moved to Johannesburg before moving to Cape Town in 2005.
Wayne has worked in the transport, banking, short term insurance as well as the cellular industry and has a wealth of knowledge and experience gained over more than 40 years.
He worked for the well known NBS (now part of Nedbank) for almost 20 years and during this time he worked in a branch, then head office in systems, finance and treasury before spending many years in short term insurance where he ended up as Divisional Head of Houseowners Insurance. He moved to Cape Town in 2005 and worked for a well known mortgage originator before leaving to consult to Nedbank and then starting up AWAY Consulting.
AWAY Consulting was formed in 2008 and since then has grown from providing insurance support to claims assessing and more recently business administrative and system support. This includes some forensic analysis as well as payroll support.
Wayne works from his home in the Southern Suburbs and would welcome the opportunity to meet with you to ascertain what your needs are. A programme and solution can then be planned and implemented.
